Mövenpick Bur Dubai

Great hotel, the only thing which was difficult is, that the temperature of the shower switches between hot and cold and it is not very easy to regulate a constant temperature. Other than that, a really nice hotel, a nice pool on the rooftop. You do not have a view from there, but it is quiet and allows to relax with the sun directly shining in the pool. The hotel has also an executive floor with an own breakfast room. In the evening this area also serves beverages. Really nice as you can relax in a not so crowded place. - I would fully recommend the hotel! I have stayed in five 5 star hotels in my 6 days and this was together with the Hilton Jumeirah Beach resort the best hotel I visited.

Room was clean, two complimetary bottles of water, no free internet, but wireless in the executive floor. Bathroom is a little bit smaller than in other hotels I have visited. But plasma TV and the size of the room is really good. Very modern.

no complaints about this, everything went well but the water temperature in the bathroom. But I had the same happening in the Hilton Jumeirah Resort ... so I think it is a Dubai wide problem, which I have heard from many people I met.

As I have only been in the bar, I can not really say something about the restaurants. But I guess it must be a good choice, I recognized many residents coming over having lunch. The bar though is really nice :-)

There are better pools in Dubai, but this one is nice and quiet and offers a great possibility to relax without noise and enjoying the sun.

I booked a desert safari which was the highlight of my Dubai trip. Other than that you can not really do a lot of things in Dubai but shopping and hanging out in hotels in the evening. A nice place to visit is the water park in the Palm Atlantis Hotel. You should block one day for this, as they have a really great beach area and the park is really big. Especially a good choice with kids.
